Dear Member:
As you may know on May 31, 2010 our contract will expire and negotiations are approaching fast. The Fund Trustees have voted that the Health and Welfare Fund is in need of $0.20. It has been previously determined that the Pension Fund must receive $0.20 this year and $0.30 each year thereafter until the Trust again becomes stable.
To not contribute to these Funds will adversely affect our Benefits.
We will be voting on this matter at our next regular meeting held February 2, 2010. Please make every effort to attend.
Fraternally Yours,
Lawrence E. Oberding
Business Manager
This matter passed with a vote of 47 to 1
A second vote was set forth to determine if the membership wished to add .20 cents toward the health and welfare fund as suggested by the Trustees.
This passed with a vote of 29 for and 2 against.
