Kenny Shinkle
This month the Spotlight is shinning bright on Ken Shinkle. Kenny is a proud member of local 44, a hard worker and a great friend. Kenny has been a brother Ironworker since way back in 1990. Back then Kenny's long red locks were the envy of any young Irish boy who dreamed of being the lead guitar player for Def Leppard or even, dare say it, Poison! But now, all these years later, Kenny still keeps it "real". Why, even at the February Union meeting Kenny was photographed rockin' the sleeveless shirt.
Although I may tease him, Ken has faithfully worked along side of you and I as a brother in this local for 20 years. The Kenny I know, I can count on, rely on and depend on to be there. When you look on him now and see that long red hair grow shorter and greyer don't forget that down inside Kenny his heart is beating out the drum intro for Van Halens "Hot for Teacher"! And this is why you Kenny Shinkle are the JOURNEYMAN of the MONTH!!
