Dues increase effective January 1st
This is to inform you that at the General Executive Council meeting held on Friday, October 23, 2009, the General Executive Council unanimously voted to increase the Per Capita Tax effective January 1, 2010 in the amount of One Dollar ($1.00), thus making your Monthly Union Dues $41.75 per month for Journeyman and $41.50 for Apprentice and Probationary. Remember that if you pay your Monthly Dues before or during the month in which they are due you receive a Ten Dollar ($10.00) discount making your Monthly Dues $31.75 for Journeyman and $31.50 for Apprentice and Probationary.
Please note there are no changes to Lifetime and Honorary Dues.
In addition, due to recent events the past practices of this office have been reviewed and the new policies are as follows:
* Monthly Dues will be considered late if received past the last day of the month in which they are due or unless postmarked prior to the last day of the month
* If you should go suspended the Reinstatement fee will be as stated in the Constitution
Regardless of the outcome of the upcoming vote on the resolution pending it will be the policy of this office to mail back dues receipts effective January 1, 2010.
